Hotel DeBrett is the site of Auckland’s first hotel. Built in 1841, the hotel has been an Auckland icon since the earliest pioneers arrived in Waitemata Harbour. Located at the corner of High Street and Shortland Street, the current building was rebuilt in 1925.
The building has been completely refurbished, keeping many of the heritage features, while adding an overlay of contemporary comfort.
